Yilmaz UK were asked to offer an alternative to Sew motor gearboxes which were being installed at Heathrow airport for baggage handling equipment. The reason for the equipment manufacturer wanting to change to Yilmaz was because of the following points
- IEC input connection – Dry input design which allows the customer to replace a motor easily without having to worry about purchasing a new motor with special input to suit a pinion gear.
- Availability – Yilmaz UK assemble the geared motors from stock but were also willing to hold complete geared motors in stock for the customer to call them off when required.
- Price – Gearboxes were approximately 30% less than what they were paying.
- Warranty – Two year warranty on all products.
- Service – The customer stated the response to the original enquiry was fantastic.
- Knowledge – The sales team for Yilmaz UK understood the application
